abstract = "Neste trabalho desenvolve-se e testa-se, sistematicamente, um
utiliza as t{\'e}cnicas M{\'{\i}}nimos Quadrados e Filtro
observa{\c{c}}{\~o}es do campo geomagn{\'e}tico. O procedimento
orbital {\'e} o Kepleriano e o sat{\'e}lite {\'e} considerado
inercialmente estabilizado. O modelo do campo geomagn{\'e}tico
tolerante precis{\~a}o de at{\'e} 100 km a
procedimento. ABSTRACT: In this work it is developed and it is
tested, systematically, a procedure for joint estimation of orbit
and attitude destined to artificial satellites stabilized by
rotation in low orbits. For that, it is used optimal state
estimation techniques, measures supplied for two types of sensors,
conventionally used for attitude determination only. This
procedure uses the Least Squares and the Extended Kalman Filter
techniques to process the measures: of solar angle aspect,
supplied by two solar sensors; and axial and radial components of
the geomagnetic field, supplied by a magnetometer. For its
systematics such procedure is divided in daily pre-processing and
estimation process, and subdivided in short, mean and long
periods. An algorithm for the generation of the a priori
information of the orbit and attitude of an artificial satellite
was developed and implemented in the \textit{Matlab}
\$\textregistered\$ language, as well as the estimators. This
algorithm is basically inspired on the passage of the satellite on
Earth´s shadow and in the geomagnetic field observations. The
procedure is tested with simulated observations, with simulated
and real data of orbit and attitude of the national satellite for
environmental data collecting SCD-1, whose orbit is almost
circular, with 750km of altitude and inclination of 25\$º\$. The
model of the orbital dynamics is the Keplerian one and the
satellite is considered inertially stabilized. The model of the
geomagnetic field is considered of 10\$^{th}\$ order and degree,
with coefficients given by IGRF-95. The convergence of the process
was accomplished successfully by the Least Squares and refined by
the Extended Kalman Filter. The estimates obtained indicate that
the procedure has conditions to supply, within the precision of up
to 100km, the information of the orbit, jointly with the attitude
of an artificial satellite whose characteristics are equivalent to
those of that one used in the tests of the procedure.",
